What I Design
Four core disciplines, one end-to-end approach.
Every engagement is scoped to your product’s actual complexity.
01
UX Strategy & Discovery
Structured research at the front end of a project, so decisions are grounded in real user behaviour rather than assumption.
- Discovery research & stakeholder interviews
- Usability testing (moderated & unmoderated)
- Behavioural insight & persona development
- Competitive & heuristic benchmarking
- Strategic roadmap & prioritisation
02
Product Design
End-to-end interface design for complex digital products. From discovery and research through to shipped, production-ready interfaces.
- User research & journey mapping
- Wire-framing & information architecture
- High-fidelity interface design
- Interactive prototyping
- Engineering handoff & QA
03
Design Systems & Governance
Shared component libraries your engineering team can actually build against — so your product looks consistent and ships faster.
- Component audit & inventory
- Token architecture (color, type, spacing)
- Component library documentation
- Governance & contribution guidelines
- Engineering integration support
04
Accessibility Audits
Systematic review of your product against WCAG 2.2 — what’s actually blocking real users, not just what fails a scanner.
- Heuristic & compliance evaluation
- Screen-reader & assistive-tech testing WCAG 2.2 audit
- Diverse cohort usability testing
- Prioritised remediation roadmap

FAQs for Talent Partners & Design Directors
How do you approach Design System governance across large or scaling product teams?
I treat a design system as something that needs ongoing care, not a UI kit you build once and leave alone. My approach starts with getting design and engineering to share ownership of it, rather than design dictating and engineering just implementing.
I set up clear processes for how design decisions get turned into reusable building blocks, write documentation people can actually follow, and regularly review components to catch inconsistencies before they pile up. Updates to the system are timed alongside product releases, so it stays a single, trustworthy source everyone can rely on — which speeds up development and keeps the brand looking consistent across every product.
How do you integrate into fast-paced Agile workflows without sacrificing UX quality?
I stay a sprint or two ahead of the development team, doing research and working out the UX approach before engineers need it, while also staying hands-on in the current sprint to support whatever’s being built right now.
To keep things moving fast, I lean on quick, focused user research, rapid prototyping, and clear, detailed designs that developers can build from without guesswork. Using an existing design system and running fast, structured reviews of the product’s usability, I help the team ship quickly without cutting corners on ease of use, ability to scale, or accessibility.
What is your strategy for effective cross-functional collaboration?
The best products come from design, tech, and business working together, not in silos. I build close, honest working relationships with Product Managers to make sure what we’re designing actually supports what the business is trying to achieve. With Engineers, I make sure what we design is realistic to build, so handoffs go smoothly.
I understand both the business side and enough of the technical side to hold a real conversation with developers. That lets me run workshops that get everyone on the same page, manage the different (and sometimes competing) expectations of stakeholders, and keep the whole team focused on one thing: building something genuinely useful for the people using it.
How do you manage stakeholder pushback regarding digital accessibility compliance?
I make the case that accessibility isn’t an extra step — it’s just good design. When people push back, I show them the numbers: making a product accessible tends to make it easier and more pleasant for everyone to use, not just people with disabilities. It also helps with search rankings. And I build accessibility checks into a project from day one, so it’s simply part of how we design and build — not a costly fix bolted on at the end.
